[FinTech] Equity crowd funding will get bigger

I heard from the secretary of Handong, Jung Yun-A, today that she is going on a business trip to Europe to research about fintech. Since Handong University is very interested in fintech, I have a noteworthy article to share to those who are interested in fintech today.

I have many reasons to believe that equity crowd funding will in fact surpass public expectation within the 2~3 years.

With today's SEC vote, Title III equity crowdfunding will now kick off and go live in 90 days:

My personal reflection about fintech in Silicon Valley:

1) Getting funds for fintech is hard in Silicon Valley since most of the VCs and people are engineers they don't understand about fintech that much they are more interested on new innovative technologies. Europe is the place for fintech.

2) Most of the fintech startups from Korea bring their fintech program to US but it does not melt into the market. APIs and other software have to be localized. Most importantly engineer have to know how the local people make their payment or investment.
