Private pitch event_The Questions investors will ask you

There was a private pitch event during our Soaring Program, an accelerator program coordinated by KIC(Korea Innovation Center) to invite Startups in Korea to get funded in Silicon Valley. I was lucky to be in the room listening to the pitch and their conversations with the investors from USMAC(http://usmarketaccess.com/).

Questions from investors:
1. Business Model (How we going to make money)
2. What stage are we at now? Any feed backs?
3. Where do we position in the market
4. How we are going to use the money we raise
5. Team slide need to list what they did before (Post experiences)
6. What is the promise using our product
7. Where we are in growth (where we stand)
8. Who will be our ideal partner?
9. Data business model has to be clear (Business model)
10. Where you at today? what is the real market today? Business model!
11. What do you see in 5~10 years
12. Vision clear
13. Opportunities (what we are going to stand out)

Personal thoughts:
1. Clearly speaking your business model is very important. Have to prepare a hook that can trigger investor's interest and imagination.
2. Secondly, explaining why you can survive in the market with your team and differentiation you have.
3. Referrals seems to be like a punch line. (# of customers, awards, seed funds etc)

4. Those were the basics. There are more things serious investors look for.
